Things I will Do Differently

Although the educators of my past have provided me with the fundamentals of my academic career, I have also encountered various professors that have demonstrated practices that were hindering in my educational advancement. For example, I have had multiple teachers that have not shown true compassion and understandingness to their students. Teachers that are overwhelmed and become short and somewhat bitter to their students. In one instance I recall receiving a failing grade on a pop quiz that I received a %100 percent on, on the second day of class merely because I forgot to include my name on the quiz. I understand the importance of instilling discipline and rules upon your students, but you must also remember that they are still learning and situations like this can often discourage the child. Another trait that I find admirable in teachers is the strength to challenge their students. Although initially it may be tough, a truly dedicated teacher can receive much higher results when pushing their students to new limits. The human mind is capable of great potential that can sometimes oly be unlocked from new challenges and tests.
